This research will examine the impacts of wildfire for northern reptiles and amphibians, which are generally understudied and are sensitive to changes in environmental conditions. They will focus on populations of red-sided garter snakes in the South Slave region of the Northwest Territories and Wood Buffalo National Park, following the unprecedented 2023 fire season in this region.
