Through partnerships within the Northwest Territories Biodiversity Monitoring Program, the research will explore data governance practices and use wildlife monitoring data to assess how culturally important ungulates and game birds respond to wildfire disturbances. The findings will support Indigenous and government partners in land and wildlife co-management, strengthen collaborative conservation approaches, and provide valuable information for land-use planning and wildlife monitoring across the North.
