Description:
This project will explore how Kalaallit (Greenlandic Inuit) learners experience safety, belonging, and inclusion in educational settings by examining the role of Indigenous identity, language, and culture in shaping learning experiences. Using a participatory photovoice approach, learners in Greenland and Denmark will document and discuss factors that make educational environments feel welcoming or exclusionary, helping to identify shared priorities and challenges. The findings will inform practical recommendations for educators and institutions to create more culturally supportive learning environments, strengthen language and cultural continuity, and enhance the wellbeing of Indigenous learners.
