Description:

This project will develop an Indigenous-led community-based research toolkit to help Indigenous communities in the Northwest Territories plan, conduct, and use health and wellness research in ways that reflect local priorities, cultural protocols, and Indigenous data sovereignty principles. Guided by Indigenous researchers, community members, and educators, the toolkit will provide practical resources, templates, and training materials to strengthen community research capacity and support Indigenous-led decision-making. By making these tools freely accessible across the North, the project will empower communities to undertake research that directly benefits their people and supports self-determined approaches to health and wellness.
