Grants and Contributions:
• Officers trained and equipped to enforce new legislation;
• Standardized data collection and reporting on the occurrences and enforcement actions related to drug-impaired driving in Canada; and
• Reduced number of drug-impaired drivers, creating safer roads in Canada.
This second Amendment is to remove the requirement to distinguish between Vote 5 (non-RCMP) and Vote 1 (RCMP) expenses in advance of each fiscal year; expand the list of eligible activities associated with the project; allow for greater flexibility in selecting ultimate recipients; remove the requirement associated with reallocations of greater than 20% within a current fiscal year; change the mode of payment to progress payments; remove the holdback provision; update the project description and workplan; revise the project budget based on British Columbia’s request to re-profile funds from the 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21 fiscal years into subsequent years; extend the project by two fiscal years to a new end date of March 31, 2025; and streamline and simplify the reporting requirements. The total agreement value is unchanged.
