Title:
The next-generation secure and privacy-preserving cyber-physical systems using blockchains
Agreement Number:
22170
Agreement Value:
$393,300.00
Agreement Date:
Oct 28, 2021 - Mar 31, 2024
Description:
The objective of this project is to develop a systematic solution for using blockchain to support data exchange and interoperation in the next-generation cyber-physical systems to enforce security and privacy protection.
Organization:
Public Safety Canada
Expected Results:

1) Using blockchain and its on-chain algorithm to develop the privacy-preserving federated learning framework. (2) We propose and verify the solution for secure interoperability between IoT or smart devices. (3) The larger number of nodes in the network increases the network resilience against attacks. (4) The decentralized machine-learning paradigm with the IoT and mobile edge devices present new privacy and security challenges (5) As the existing cryptography algorithm could be very vulnerable in quantum computing.
