Description:
The Canadian Red Cross will support the federal response by supporting the Province’s vaccine roll-out plan. Specifically, clinical and non-clinical support will be provided to a vaccination clinic in Halifax, Nova Scotia from June 25, 2021 to July 16, 2021 to increase capacity to immunize as many people as possible with both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in order to maximize protection against the delta variant. On-site services will include immunizers, greeting, site navigation, spot sanitization, safety and wellbeing, and post-vaccine observation.

The Canadian Red Cross (CRC) will have supported Canadians’ needs stemming from COVID-19, floods and wildfires. Specifically, CRC will have provided support to the Government of Nova Scotia for the province’s vaccine distribution in Halifax.

(COV19) Supporting the Readiness of the Canadian Red Cross for Urgent Relief Efforts Related to Covid-19 and Upcoming Flood and Fire Seasons
Program Purpose:

The objective of the Program is to enable the Canadian Red Cross (CRC) to support Canadians’ needs stemming from COVID-19, floods and wildfires.
Through the provision of funding to the CRC under this program, the CRC will have the resources to reduce the impact of COVID-19 on Canadians as well as that of floods and wildfires.
