Description:

Th goal of this project is to acquire seven Human External Cargo (HEC) Boost systems to be utilized by certified GSAR teams within the NLSARA. Boost utilizes a static line attached to a helicopter to transport human cargo beneath the helicopter. Funding of this project will allow Helicopter Rescue teams to reactivate and provide life saving resources to the people of NL while reducing rescue times and promoting safety.

This project will provide vital resources to the people of NL, while reducing rescue times and promoting safety, while significantly enhancing GSAR's emergency response capabilities. This project will fill the gap in helicopter rescue in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador as crews are strategically placed on the island and in Labrador to cover the entire province.
