Description:
The purpose of this project is to improve the delivery and effectiveness of ground search and rescue (GSAR) capabilities in Canada; improve national interoperability between SAR organizations through the development and implementation of a GSAR Incident Command System (ICS) solution; Support the sharing of information, data and knowledge among SAR jurisdictions; build disaster response capacity and support a comprehensive societal approach to emergency management within the volunteer SAR community, including the Canadian Rangers; and foster mutual aid and cooperation among jurisdictions.

Expected Results:
CounterCrisis Tech will create and develop server software and applications related to SARTAK for “cloud-based” sharing amongst their Search and Rescue partners. This includes custom search and rescue applications, a Windows platform adaptation and facilitate the capability for installation of SARTAK and WINSARTAK on phones, tablets and laptops. Throughout the development of the necessary software, CounterCrisis Tech will deploy the integrated solution to interested municipal police services in Ontario and to all interested provincial and federal GSAR organizations across Canada through an online service portal. Within the long term, CounterCrisis Tech intends to deliver and support an integrated GSAR ICS software solution to OPP GSAR teams across the Province of Ontario and across Canada.
