The project will improve the delivery of professional, dedicated and responsive policing services, and will improve the safety of occupants in Neskantaga First Nation.
The purpose of this amendment is to extend the agreement to March 31, 2024 and to increase Public Safety funding from $5,541,874.00 to $7,017,694.24
The program purpose is to improve the safety and well-being of occupants of First Nations and Inuit police facilities by providing financial assistance to plan, repair, reconstruct and/or acquire new police facilities. This program is central to achieving the result whereby First Nation and Inuit communities are expected to have access to dedicated and responsive police services. Ensuring that communities have safe and healthy police facilities contributes to this result.
