Description:
the project will provide massive financial assistance in the form of a one-time payment to eligible people in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador (the most affected regions in terms of damage and needs) that were affected by Hurricane Fiona. It will contribute to people's ability to manage the impacts of the event by providing one-time financial assistance of $500 to eligible households in the most affected areas who have registered with the Canadian Red Cross and self-identify as unable to meet their basic needs – including, but not limited to, food, shelter, transportation, and cleaning supplies – as a result of the hurricane-force post-tropical storm.
