Description:
This project proposes to address the intermediate and long-term recovery needs of those most impacted. PS funds will complement current post-disaster programming by ensuring intervention across different sectors not covered under insurance or other programs, but identified as priority for those still in need. Key areas of support include supporting long-term recovery needs; addressing impact in Indigenous communities; and, redressing mental health and psychosocial impacts which may be compounded as a result of previous disasters.

The CRC, proposes to build upon its current work in support of those impacted by the 2021 BC Floods. The objectives of the project are to address the impact and long-term needs of those affected by the 2021 BC Floods with the ultimate outcome of improved living conditions for those affected.

Program Purpose:
The objective of the Program is to enable the CRC to support Canadians' needs stemming from COVID-19, floods and wildfires. Through the provision of funding to the CRC under this program, the CRC will have the resources to reduce the impact of COVID-19 on Canadians as well as that of floods and wildfires.
