Description:
The purpose of this project is to enhance interoperability between the SAR organizations on federal, provincial, territorial and municipal levels through hosting the national SARScene conference in the fall of 2022. The NLSARA will ensure that important topics get discussed, new approaches and innovations to GSAR introduced, as well as ideas exchanged and best practices shared. The theme of the conference will be "SARScene 2022: Learning from the Past - Evolving for the Future".

The expected results of this project are to provide opportunities to SAR partners, responders, policy maker, educators and volunteers to contribute and participate in a conference. The intended outcome of the conference is to allow networking for the SAR communities to share experiences, knowledge, tools, services and best practices.

The Parties wish to further amend the Original Agreement to account for translation services by adding $35,000.00 to the Fiscal Year 2023-2024. This amendment also includes the additional meal costs due to the conference attendance is projected to increase from the original budget of 300 to 400 by adding $35,000.00 to the Fiscal Year 2023-2024. Total PS increase of $70,000.
