Grants and Contributions:
To promote cultural healing in Nunavik through community actions rooted in Inuit values and traditions, the project aims to offer hunting, fishing, gathering, sewing, beading, camping, feasts and traditional jewellery and tool making. The project will allow participants to connect with nature and the land, while promoting the transmission of cultural and community knowledge
The program purpose is to provide support in the adaptation, development and implementation of innovative and promising culturally sensitive crime prevention practices which address known risk and protective factors to reduce vulnerability to crime and promote community safety approaches in Indigenous communities both on and off-reserve and in the North. The NICPF also focuses on building capacity and knowledge to identify and promote Indigenous crime prevention and community safety best practices.
