Description:
The purpose of the project is to pilot the Search and Rescue Certification and Accreditation Program (SARCAP) with the P&T's, involving the AHJ's, GSAR Association, GSAR teams and training providers. The project will focus on the Searcher profile and the A&C of GSAR core competencies required by searchers to complete tasks they are assigned.

Expected Results:
The intended outcomes are to work with the volunteer ground search and rescue (GSAR) communities and project leader to initiate SARCAP to strengthen the overall professionalism and effectiveness of GSAR members. Presentations will be given to the GSARCC, SARVAC and stakeholders. These presentations will provide a clear understanding of the project objectives and processes for initiating SARCAP nationally or within individual provinces and territories.

Additional Information:
The Parties wish to further amend the Original Agreement to extend the project by six months. The extension is to address the development and implementation of endorsement process for GSAR training.
