Grants and Contributions:
Immediate:
- Officers will have greater access to essential resources necessary to perform their duties safely and effectively;
- Officers will be better equipped to respond to the increasing volume of calls for service;
- Training will be available for new recruits to ensure the required number of police officers are available.
Ultimate:
- MFNPS and its officers are able to support their commitment outlined in MFNPS’s values and mission statements to ensure safer communities in which they serve.
The purpose for this amendment is to increases the total PS Canada funding by $2,993,500.00 and extend by one year .
To enhance the effectiveness of policing services in First Nation and Inuit communities in terms of cultural relevance and responsiveness to the public safety need of communities.
To support policing services to First Nation and Inuit communities that are professional, dedicated and culturally responsive to the communities they serve.
