Description:
The purpose of this contribution agreement is to implement a 60-month project "Lum-stam'sh Youth Wellness Program", to reduce risk factors and provide projects and engagements to youth at-risk (ages 11-29) and their families. The project will implement crime prevention projects targeting at-risk youth, provide knowledge and capacity for stakeholders to increase access to services and resources, and increase capacity to sustain intervention activities beyond the agreement.

The program purpose is to provide support in the adaptation, development and implementation of innovative and promising culturally sensitive crime prevention practices which address known risk and protective factors to reduce vulnerability to crime and promote community safety approaches in Indigenous communities both on and off-reserve and in the North. The NICPF also focuses on building capacity and knowledge to identify and promote Indigenous crime prevention and community safety best practices.
