This project will focus on three requirements of CANTF4: sustaining/enhancing core HUSAR disciplines; expanding All-Hazards (AH) disaster response team capabilities; and maintaining the foundation for All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT) employment.

Expected Results:

This project's outcome is to ensure CANTF4’s operational equipment and supply inventory is effectively stocked, replaced, updated, and maintained to effectively respond to deployments and complete training. This project will also ensure that all training, education, and exercises will further develop, maintain and meet core National HUSAR disciplines and standards, while collaborating with partners such as Manitoba Emergency Management Organization, Manitoba Wildfire Services, and Manitoba Emergency Services College.

Program Purpose:

The HUSAR Program aims to maintain the HUSAR capabilities of Canadian HUSAR Task Forces in Vancouver (British Columbia); Calgary (Alberta); the Province of Manitoba; and Toronto (Ontario). The Program also aims to develop HUSAR capacity and capability in the underserved regions of Montreal (Quebec) and Halifax (Nova Scotia).
