Description:
This project aims to contribute to the improvement of Canada's search and rescue system. Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue (RCMSAR) will improve its ability to recruit and retain marine search and rescue volunteers on British Columbia's west coast. The project will identify best practices and barriers, integrating data with literature and demographic survey findings, and develop a plan for more effective volunteer attraction and retention.

The expected results of this project are to enhance the effectiveness of SAR response in federal, provincial, and territorial jurisdictions and to develop an evidence-based plan to launch improvements.
