This project aims to create digital media videos, posters, brochures, a website and a school package, containing information culturally relevant to Indigenous and non-Indigenous people, with Search and Rescue prevention teachings and tools to stay safe outdoors. This content will spread a message of awareness on safety and search and rescue prevention, with a key focus on young people who may take risks when traveling from the north to south.

The outcome of this project will improve the search and rescue community through the partnership and engagement with Indigenous Communities, particularly amongst Indigenous youth in light of upcoming road and infrastructure developments that will connect northern and southern regions. The content created by the Mizinatik Digital Arts Centre can be used to teach at-risk populations about search and rescue prevention.
