Description:
This project will fill current knowledge gaps in Ground Search and Rescue trends that will help identify areas for improvement, ensure effective response, reduce the loss of life, and reduce the frequency and severity of incidents. Canadian Public Safety Operations Organization will achieve this objective by addressing the development of a data governance model, National Data Standard development, technical specifications for a sustainable data management system, and coordination for data contributors and consumers.

Expected Results:
This project's outcomes will strengthen national Ground Search and Rescue governance by establishing national data governance including national strategic leadership, data stewardship through the coordination of committees by a national secretariat, enhance situational awareness within the Ground Search and Rescue community by providing up to date information through national data collection, aggregation and reporting, and promoting the adoption of the Ground Search and Rescue Incident Data Standard by the Ground Search and Rescue community through national strategic leadership.
