By providing these communities with security infrastructure, a reduction in hate-motivated crime is anticipated which will lead to an increase in overall community safety.

Certain fields have been withheld for security reasons given that it is a gender-based violence shelter.
The purpose of this amendment is to extend the agreement date to September 30, 2025, there is no change to Public Safety Canada funding.

The Canada Community Security Program provides time-limited funding and support for communities at risk of hate-motivated incidents and hate-motivated crimes to enhance physical security at their gathering spaces.
