Grants and Contributions:
The STPS will have additional materials and resources to effectively conduct their work as detailed below:
- The SPTS will be better positioned to prepare for future power failures with the installation of the Lillooet and Mount Currie generators
- The portable radios for officers and police vehicles will allow police officers to communicate effectively and safely with the latest radio communications equipment
- The installation of an in-house IT infrastructure and server will allow the STPS to become autonomous in their IT network and services and minimize reliance on RCMP telecommunications and IT services;
- The procurement of additional and replacement vehicles, uniforms, a side-by-side trailer, and new weaponry will increase police service delivery and police officers’ safety
- The procurement and delivery of training on operating a side-by-side trailer will ensure safe handling and usage by officers; and - The procurement of communications and outreach materials will promote increased interest to the police service, resulting in high recruitment and retention of officers
The purpose of this amendment is to increase the Public Safety Canada funding amount from $1,499,182.25 to $1,593,457.71.

To support policing services to First Nation and Inuit communities that are professional, dedicated and culturally responsive to the communities they serve.
