Grants and Contributions:

This agreement will fund a culturally appropriate enhancement to policing services in the communities covered by the agreement. Indigenous communities have access to dedicated and professional policing services; Policing services are responsive to the needs and cultures of the Indigenous communities they serve; and A reduction of the gap between police reported crime in Indigenous communities and the rest of Canada.

The purpose of this amendment is to increase the Public Safety Canada funding amount from $87,296,779.00 to $88,799,922.60.

To enhance the effectiveness of policing services in First Nation and Inuit communities in terms of cultural relevance and responsiveness to the public safety need of communities.

To support policing services to First Nation and Inuit communities that are professional, dedicated and culturally responsive to the communities they serve.
