Grants and Contributions:
TFN has access to the funding and have had a Quadripartite Agreement since 2007; and,
Approximately 187 Indigenous people on-reserve have access to the funding.
- TFN has access to one DPD officer that provide dedicated and professional policing services
The DPD officer receives appropriate cultural training from TFN and other resources; and,
TFN receives policing services that are respectful, as well as responsive to their needs and cultures.
The purpose of this amendment is to extend the agreement date to March 31, 2026, and increase the Public Safety Canada funding amount from $532,821.08 to $648,335.80.
To enhance the effectiveness of policing services in First Nation and Inuit communities in terms of cultural relevance and responsiveness to the public safety need of communities.
To support policing services to First Nation and Inuit communities that are professional, dedicated and culturally responsive to the communities they serve.
