The police service is sensitive to the needs and culture of the Indigenous community it serves; and A reduction in the gap between police-reported crime in the Indigenous community and the rest of Canada. The community of Uashat-Maliotenam has access to specialized and professional police services
The purpose of this amendment is to extend the agreement date to March 31, 2030, and increase the Public Safety Canada funding amount from $19,511,523.92 to $28,634,086.92.
To enhance the effectiveness of policing services in First Nation and Inuit communities in terms of cultural relevance and responsiveness to the public safety need of communities.
To support policing services to First Nation and Inuit communities that are professional, dedicated and culturally responsive to the communities they serve.
