Grants and Contributions:
Approximately 350 Indigenous People have access to services provided through project funding.
C/TFN will have access to 2 full-time and 1 part-time Community Safety and Wellness members (CSW) that provide dedicated, non-enforcement, community safety programs to the community.
C/TFN Community Safety and Wellness members (CSW) members receive culturally appropriate and trauma informed training.
-Increased sense of community safety among C/TFN citizens is experienced as a result of the presence, availability, and approach of Community Safety and Wellness members (CSW) members;
Increased engagement and improved relationships between C/TFN Citizens and other agencies; and,
Increased collaboration between C/TFN, the RCMP, the justice system, and external service providers in the delivery of community safety programs, policing, justice, and other services.
Delay in signature
To enhance the effectiveness of policing services in First Nation and Inuit communities in terms of cultural relevance and responsiveness to the public safety need of communities.
To support policing services to First Nation and Inuit communities that are professional, dedicated and culturally responsive to the communities they serve.
