The John Howard Society of Canada has applied for funding under the Grants Program to National Voluntary Organizations (GP to NVOs) which supports not-for-profit or national voluntary organizations that are active in the area of corrections, conditional release and/or community reintegration. The funding is meant to help these organizations maintain a national structure and cover core operating expenses. In the context of this program, the purpose of the grants is to contribute to the development of criminal justice policies and delivery of services.

-Improved intersectional/interdisciplinary collaboration and delivery of services.

-Contribution to national policy dialogue on matters related to criminal justice.
-Increased capacity of the organization to fulfill its mandate.
-Increased community capacity to work with victims, offenders, families, and local officials such as police, and emergency first responders.
Ultimate Outcomes:
-A safer, secure and more resilient Canadian society.
