Description:
The project is focused on increasing cooperation to combat ransomware between government stakeholders and the multistakeholder community. Primarily focused on a tabletop exercise (TTX) delivered by Institute for Security and Technology (IST) to members of the Counter Ransomware Initiative (CRI) with participation from a selected group of private entities, this effort will illustrate how collaboration could be expanded and ties built between private and public entities, leading to a safer, more resilient Canadian society.

The expected results are to use innovative approaches, lessons learned and best practice documents to reduce the threat ransomware poses to Canadian society and societies worldwide. Improving intersectoral and interdisciplinary collaboration and delivery of services to bring together multisector private stakeholders to collaborate on combating ransomware threats. Provide recommendations to modify policies and legislation and contribute to a safer, secure and more resilient Canadian society.
