Grants and Contributions:
Funded First Nation and Inuit policing infrastructure projects address the highest risks to human life:
- The construction of a Satellite Police Service Facility will allow Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service (TNPS) to provide effective policing services to the western side of the Tsuut’ina Nation lands.
- This facility will improve police service response times and allow barrier-free services to western Nation residents.
- Officer safety will improve by reducing the time and distance for officer back up and emergency driving for long distances.
Funded facilities support First Nation and Inuit Police service delivery:
- The new Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service - Satellite Police Service Facility will provide a safe and healthy workplace which will contribute to professional, dedicated and responsive police services.
The purpose of this amendment is to extend the agreement date to March 31, 2027. There is no change to Public Safety Canada funding.
To support First Nation and Inuit communities by improving the safety and well-being of the occupants of their policing infrastructure. This is achieved through the renovation, remediation and/or replacement of policing facilities in First Nation and Inuit communities.
