Expected Results:

The initiative will increase public awareness and understanding of serious and organized crime, strengthen knowledge to support evidence‑based policy development and decision‑making, and support the Department’s mandate to respond to these criminal activities. It will enhance the effectiveness of law enforcement approaches through increased operational responses, improved information and intelligence sharing, and better availability, completeness, and reliability of data on serious and organized crime. Ultimately, these efforts will increase national capacity to address serious and organized crime, including in Indigenous communities, and will contribute to safer communities and a safe, resilient Canada.
