Description:
The Native Counselling Services of Alberta (NCSA) will provide a national precedent for the creation of an multi layered support network for reintegrating Indigenous offenders. Assessments will be guided by offender-driven wellness plans that identify the supports, training, workshops, or cultural activities required to meet each individual’s needs as defined by the individual.

The project's expected outcomes are the development of alternative to incarceration projects and reintegration support projects.  The project establishes a unique curriculum and entry point for Indigenous offenders to access a variety of NCSA programing (housing, employment, wellness) and other social supports toward successful reintegration into community.
