Description:
This project supports the retrofitting of a training facility, and purchase of additional training equipment to support training by Rama Police Service, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), and other police services to enhance officer capacity, and support recruitment and training efforts. Once completed, this would enable Rama Police Service to host training for annual requalification, regular use of force training, provide rapid response, de-escalation, and other scenario-based training simulators, recruit testing, and youth fitness interaction.

Expected Results:

This facility will improve weapons-based scenario training for all officers, increase coordinated activities with youth, and increase fitness training, providing recruit-based testing facilities for Rama Police Service and other First Nation Police Services in Ontario, ensuring the service, and communities supported by the service benefit from this project.
