Organization:
Public Safety Canada
Expected Results:

Walpole Island First Nation will work toward this ultimate outcome by leveraging federal program support to lay the groundwork for future, coordinated, culturally grounded policing and community safety initiatives. Through community-driven planning, capacity building, and collaboration with Elders, leadership, and service partners, the community will strengthen trust, clarify priorities, and develop approaches that emphasize prevention, wellness, and restorative practices. These efforts will position Walpole Island First Nation to implement effective, culturally responsive policing and community safety initiatives in the future, contributing over time to safer environments, improved perceptions of safety, and positive outcomes for community members.
