Grants and Contributions:
The project will empower Indigenous youth with culturally grounded, trauma‑informed online safety knowledge and youth‑led resources, while strengthening engagement, awareness, and data collection on online child sexual exploitation across urban, rural, and remote communities. It will expand capacity within the Friendship Centre Movement through training, mentorship, and cross‑sector collaboration with Indigenous organizations, law enforcement, and online safety experts, improving prevention, response, and evidence‑based policy development. Ultimately, the project will foster sustainable, Indigenous‑led online safety programming and advocacy, reduce online exploitation risks, and contribute to a safer, more resilient digital environment for Indigenous youth and Canadian communities.
