Immediate Outcomes
- Increased knowledge and understanding for decision-making in Canada's public safety systems: Both the wider public and service providers will receive specific guidance on their options and next steps.
- Improved intersectoral/interdisciplinary collaboration and delivery of services: Trainings will be provided to cross sectorial partners, improving and strengthening relationships and reestablishing common goals.
- Shared knowledge and awareness leading to enhanced delivery of services such as dissemination of information: Providing a range of materials will ensure that all learners can increase their awareness and help increase public safety.
Intermediate Outcomes
- Increased public education and confidence in Canada's criminal justice, emergency management, and national security systems: Presenting a range of options and demonstrating that new options are being considered and added will improve public confidence in the government and the criminal justice system.
- Increased capacity of NVOs and not-for-profit organizations to fulfill their mandates : Increasing KSACC's community profile as an expert on gendered violence and safety will also increase trust and support of their work.
Ultimate Outcomes
- A safer, secure and more resilient Canadian society: More survivors and members of the public will be equipped with the information they need to help keep themselves and others safe, whenever they may need to access safety supports.

Intermediate outcomes include boosting public confidence in Canada’s criminal justice and emergency systems by presenting accessible options and demonstrating ongoing improvements. Ultimately, these efforts aim to create a safer, more secure, and resilient Canadian society by equipping survivors and the public with the knowledge and resources needed to access safety supports whenever required.
The purpose of this amendment is to decrease the Public Safety Canada funding amount from $167,371.00 to $161,261.00.
The Policy Development Contribution Program (PDCP) provides contributions to forge greater consensus and cooperation among various levels of government and other stakeholders through policy initiatives and activities.
