Agreement Date:
Feb 10, 2026 - Mar 31, 2026
Description:
This project aims to raise awareness among elementary and secondary school students about cybersecurity and provide them with practical tools to adopt better cyber hygiene habits in their daily lives. Through a multimodal training pathway—including live virtual sessions, bilingual online resources, and interactive classroom guides—it makes complex issues such as deepfakes and online security accessible and engaging. The initiative offers free, reliable, bilingual resources tailored to the Canadian school context, reaching both francophone and anglophone students, including those in minority settings. By equipping teachers, the project creates a multiplier effect that directly impacts tens of thousands of young people. Led by a multidisciplinary team and supported by a strong partner network, the project ensures the design, production, and nationwide dissemination of relevant content, contributing to inclusive and sustainable cybersecurity awareness for Canadian youth.
Organization:
Public Safety Canada
Expected Results:

The project activities will result in concrete outcomes: accessible bilingual resources, better‑equipped teachers, increased student awareness, and improved support for school decision‑makers. These results directly contribute to the objective of the PCCS to increase cybersecurity awareness and to build a more inclusive cybersecurity landscape in Canada.
