Description:

The purpose of the Contribution Agreement is for Canada to reimburse the Town of Banff for incremental safety and security costs incurred in support of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) led security operation for the 2025 Group of Seven (G7) Leaders' Summit held in Kananaskis, Alberta, from June 15 to 17, 2025.

Early federal engagement with the host jurisdiction facilitated cost‑effective planning and procurement and strengthened cooperation throughout the planning and implementation phases.
