This project supports Rama First Nation in improving policing and community safety outcomes by implementing initiatives such as enhanced crime prevention programs, culturally informed policing practices, and increased community engagement. These efforts aim to reduce crime, strengthen trust between the police and the community, and improve overall safety.
The purpose of this amendment is to extend the agreement date to March 31, 2027, and to increase Public Safety Canada funding amount from $1,649,839.08 to $2,508,940.08.
To improve policing and community safety outcomes in First Nations and Inuit communities, in collaboration with provinces and territories of jurisdiction.
To contribute to improved policing and community safety outcomes in First nations and Inuit communities, in response to their unique needs and priorities.
