Grants and Contributions:
Immediate Outcomes:
a. To answer questions and give factual information to community family members to enable them to make pro-social decisions.
b. To offer online and mail out information resources for the correctional knowledge transfer about visiting, how to send in money to a prison, how to setup phone calls from a prison, etc.
c. After an initial contact with CFCN, to assist them in staying connected to CFCN in order to cope with having a person in custody.
d. To create public awareness and correctional knowledge transfers.
Intermediate Outcomes:
a. To continue the immediate results.
b. To integrate existing families closer into CFCN for continued support as they handle challenging correctional issues, have different needs, etc.
c. To assist in the understanding and preparation of reintegration and family reunification for successful parole decisions.
d. To continually create engaging and relevant resources to assist families
Long-term Outcomes:
a. To continue the short-term results as new families connect with CFCN.
b. To continue to medium-term results for families with longer sentences.
c. To assist families who have received parole to live a pro-social life.
d. To continue to educate researchers, students, and families about correctional issues to build capacity and resilience.
The Grants and Contributions Program to Voluntary Organizations (GCP VO) supports the development of public safety policies and delivery of services by providing funding to voluntary organizations to maintain a national structure and cover core operating expenses.
