Description:
The Safari Black Community Reentry & Reintegration Program provides culturally responsive, strength‑based reintegration supports for Black individuals transitioning from incarceration to community. Organization:
Public Safety Canada
Expected Results:

Through pre-release engagement, individualized reintegration planning, and intensive post release case management, Black participants will demonstrate increased readiness for community reintegration. RSW-led assessments, trauma-informed planning, and peer mentorship address known gaps in release preparation and culturally appropriate supports. At least 80% of participants will have individualized reintegration plans, active peer support engagement, and increased access to housing, employment, education, and mental health services during the critical post-release period.
