Grants and Contributions:
The project supports the successful reintegration of Black justice-involved individuals by providing culturally relevant life-skills training, employment and entrepreneurship preparation, housing and reintegration planning, and ongoing mentorship and community support. Participants will strengthen essential skills such as conflict resolution, critical thinking, financial literacy, communication, and stress management, while developing personalized goals and pathways to employment, education, or business ownership. Through continued support before and after release, the initiative aims to improve housing and employment stability, strengthen community connections, reduce justice-system involvement, and contribute to safer, more resilient communities.
The Grants and Contributions Program to Voluntary Organizations (GCP VO) supports the development of public safety policies and delivery of services by providing funding to voluntary organizations to maintain a national structure and cover core operating expenses.
