Description:

The project seeks to enhance the security of the community by purchasing and installing a Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) system and exterior lighting. The contractor will also provide training on how to use the new security equipment. As a result of this project, the population that uses the facility will feel safer from hate-motivated incidents/crimes.

• The non-profit organization applied for funding to enhance their community safety and protect their community members from hate-motivated incidents.

Intermediate outcome
Eligible recipients gain capacity and knowledge on how to address security needs prior to/following hate-motivated incidents/crimes at their community gathering spaces:
• Through the implementation of the project, eligible recipients have developed the capacity and knowledge to:
○ Implement effective security measures to prevent and mitigate hate-motivated incidents/crimes.
○ Respond appropriately to incidents when they occur, minimizing harm and ensuring the safety of community members.

Ultimate outcome Program recipients feel safer from hate-motivated crime at their gathering spaces:
• The population that uses the facility will feel safer from hate-motivated incidents/crimes following the implementation of security measures in their community gathering space.
