The G7 is a designated major international event and as such is eligible for financial assistance under the Major International Events Security Cost Framework. The purpose of this contribution agreement is for Canada to reimburse the Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) for eligible, incremental security costs, admissible under the contribution agreement and incurred by RMOW to support the RCMP in its delivery of security for the G7 Whistler Ministerial.
