Description:
Priority is to bring the current cache items to standard that is reliable and consistent with the cache other teams nationwide are using. A complete, functional, current and well, maintained cache is critical to CANTF-5 maintenance of HUSAR capacity.

Expected Results:

Resurrect and maintain current cache and determine functional levels of equipment and identify gaps. Purchase new equipment consistent with other Task Forces. Storage of cache in deployable fashion in that provides ease of access. Update current Technical- search Equipment to maximize the latest technology and provide interoperability with National Program. Update rescue Equipment that has reached end of life or is due to recycle as training kit. Update Cache items to be in line with other Task Forces to improve interoperability. Continue to develop the Drone Program to be deployable for HUSAR search and rescue. Removal of previous BOO form deep storage and testing to ensure operability Establish the required level of logistical support necessary to be able to deploy provincially followed by national capability and eventually internationally, both as a team and in support of other teams.

Program Purpose:

The HUSAR Program aims to maintain the HUSAR capabilities of Canadian HUSAR Task Forces in Vancouver (British Columbia); Calgary (Alberta); the Province of Manitoba; and Toronto (Ontario). The Program also aims to develop HUSAR capacity and capability in the underserved regions of Montreal (Quebec) and Halifax (Nova Scotia).
