Description:
CPKN will be responsible for converting Public Safety Canada's opioid destigmatization awareness material into an interactive and bilingual e-learning module for Canadian law enforcement training that will provide officers with the skills and tools to better interact with people with problematic substance use. Once completed, the e-learning module will be hosted on CPKN's leaning management portal and made available to all Canadian law enforcement personnel free of charge for a period of two years following the live online web launch.

Expected Results:

Short-term:
- Create and interactive e-learning module, providing skills and tools to better interact with people with problematic substance use and their families, for the Canadian law enforcement community to complete;
- Offer free of charge, new e-learning module to the law enforcement community via CPKN's learning management web portal;

Medium-term:
- Shift in attitude towards people with substance use disorder from requiring law enforcement interventions to needing health and social care solutions;

Long term:
- More coordinated and consistent approach amongst first responders interacting with people with lived and living experience.
