Grants and Contributions:
It is expected that the project will optimize building space and address health and safety issues for officers and other occupants of the Six Nations Police station. Broadly, the project will improve the delivery of professional, dedicated and responsive policing services in the community of Six Nations of the Grand River.
The program purpose is to improve the safety and well-being of occupants of First Nations and Inuit police facilities by providing financial assistance to plan, repair, reconstruct and/or acquire new police facilities. This program is central to achieving the result whereby First Nation and Inuit communities are expected to have access to dedicated and responsive police services.
