Description:
The ultimate goal of the project is to ensure that a significant subset (three to five) of Canada's ten CI sectors (e.g., finance, energy, transportation, etc.) are on the quantum security path as measured by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute. (ETSI) or other international or national standards by the time a full quantum computer becomes available, which experts say will be within the next decade.

Expected Results:
Industry groups and regulators from all targeted critical infrastructure sectors will have been made aware of the quantum threat. Intermediate Outcomes: A meaningful number (i.e., 8-12) of post-secondary educational institutions have introduced, or are planning to introduce in the near future, quantum-safe training in their cyber security and/or risk-management programs.
