Description:
The purpose of this contribution is to provide funding to increase capacity of the CAPG to participate in the co-development of legislation regarding First Nations policing as an essential service. To do this, the project will research and engage police Governance Boards of Self-Administered Police Services for best practices, and review the relationships between First Nations and Federal/Provincial governments to identify areas that require deep engagement.
