The purpose of the contribution is to provide funding to reduce gang involvement amongst at-risk youth between the ages of 14-21 in the community of Opaskwayak Cree Nation.

Address youth gang prevention based in the Cree culture through culturally adaptive interventions based on the medicine wheel teachings; spiritual, physical, mental and emotional health. A culturally based, focused, collaborative and comprehensive approach to gang recruitment prevention will reduce the rate of gang activity and the impact of gang activity on personal safety and wellness of community members.
